With our vLED Systems, the Precision Planting 2020 monitor will act as the controller. With our “Legacy Systems”, you will need a Bluetooth controller to control the light system. This controller allows for On/Off control, strobe, light brightness, strobe pattern, color pattern & choice, and more.You obviously need Lights. You will need to choose your style of White or RGB/RGB W. Which is better? That is personal preference. A white only is going to be brighter and offer higher performance. The RGB & RGB W are going to allow for full color spectrum if you are wanting to be able to see in dusty conditions but may sacrifice some brightness with the “White Only”.Cabling – All of our lights will come with approx. 15′ of cable. We will send you the appropriate amount of splitters, extensions and magnets that you will need for the installation depending on your planter type.Do I have to use my remote that comes with it?No. Matter of fact, most people do not. The majority of people just use the iOS or Android app that is controlled via the phone. It is a lot more user friendly and has more funtionality.Do I need a master switch cable or do you recommend it?That is entirely up to you. The system is designed to work without it. However, if you have operators who will not have or unable to use a Bluetooth app, or prefer to just use a manual switch in the cab then yes, we recommend using a Master Switch Cable Kit. Simply plug into the 3 way triangle plug and run it up to cab. You should have an available “knock out” inside your console. You can place the switch in there and plug in our cable. (Don’t worry, we added a disconnect at the hitch!)How do the lights mount? Are they hard to install?All of our lights come with magnet style mounting. They can be easily installed and placed wherever is convenient under the toolbar. The best part: If you tie them down correctly, you can remove them in the field when you have a problem and give yourself an in-field flashlight!Do I have to have 1 light per row or can I do 1 light per 2 rows?They are your lights, you can do whatever you want. However, if you want to have full coverage underneath the planter for ground lighting, we thoroughly recommend 1 light per row. You will likely have shadows on the in between rows.Are they safe to wash with our power washer?Absolutely! We have spent A LOT of time designing these lights to make them durable and extremely waterproof. They are safe to pressure wash, and not only that they are safe to pressure wash with hot water!
