Custom Bronze Sculpture
Overview of Custom Bronze Sculpture
This custom bronze sculpture created in bronze by Cory Wanamaker, this 12-foot-tall, 10-foot-deep, and 6-foot-wide sculpture honors the life and legacy of Mim Enck. Designed as a lasting tribute, it stands at the entrance of the Mount Gretna Playhouse as a symbol of her enduring spirit and impact on the community.

Goals
The goal of this project was to honor Mim Enck’s lasting impact through a sculpture that embodies serenity, creativity, and healing. Light and water features animate the 12-foot bronze angel, with water gently cascading from its wings and hands—symbolizing purity, renewal, and the transformative spark of artistic inspiration.
Process
The artist who is a Mount Gretna resident himself, Cory Wanamaker worked in collaboration with ART Research. This sculpture began with high-resolution 3D scans of a detailed model. These scans were digitally refined and enlarged, then transformed into full-scale physical prototypes using 3D printing. ART Research used these forms to create molds, from which wax replicas were made. Through the lost-wax casting process, the sculpture was cast in bronze, section by section. After careful welding and hand-finishing, the piece was patinated to achieve its rich surface. Integrated lighting and a water feature complete this powerful tribute to Mim Enck, blending cutting-edge technology with traditional bronze artistry. Installation occurred in front of Mount Gretna playhouse, Mount Gretna, PA on 5/24/25.
